Dear Neighbor,
As you know, throughout my time in public service, I’ve made it my mission to show up in every community, no matter how small, to hear directly from the people I’m privileged to represent — and the past 10 days have been no exception!
Over the course of just the last seven days, we held events in 12 cities (you heard right — 12!) across nine counties: Fort Collins, Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, Edwards, Steamboat Springs, Silverthorne, Kremmling, Niwot, Hayden, Louisville, and Bellvue. Our travels took us up north to the Poudre Canyon, out west to Northern Routt County, and everywhere in between. And every single event reminded me just how incredible our district is — and how fortunate I am to fight for our communities and the people of Colorado!
As some of you may have seen, we closed out last week visiting with constituents at our Congress on Your Corner table on Pearl Street in Boulder County. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by and hope to see more folks in the coming weeks. We then kicked off a jam-packed weekend by joining our community in supporting our local peach growers at the Lafayette Peach Festival and the Fort Collins Peach Festival. Afterwards, I was honored to join first responders, officials, and mitigation partners at the Cameron Peak and East Troublesome Fire Commemoration to mark 5 years since what became two of the largest wildfires in Colorado history. Together, we doubled down on our commitment to continue supporting recovery efforts for all those impacted. And once up in Larimer County, we couldn’t miss out on speaking with folks from across the state at Fort Collins Comic Con — an event that never disappoints.

Over the last few days, I was grateful to spend time traversing across Colorado’s Western Slope — speaking with local leaders, meeting with constituents, hosting town halls, and more. From Silverthorne and Kremmling, to Steamboat Springs and Edwards, I’m honored folks took time out of their busy schedules to make their voices heard. Learn more about our stops below.👇🏾
Last week, I had the chance to: Meet with local leaders at our Summit County and Silverthorne Roundtable to discuss infrastructure needs, supporting our immigrant communities and more.
Speak to students across the West Grand School District in Kremmling for Back-to-School week (they asked insightful — and tough — questions!)
Return to Muddy Pass to see the incredible progress being made on Continental Divide Trail projects we’ve supported in Colorado.
Join the Colorado Water Congress once again to discuss the importance of conservation and protecting our environment.
Host our 15th town hall of the year alongside Senator Michael Bennet up in Routt County.

This week, I met with the Incident Command team in Rio Blanco County to thank them and the firefighters whose brave efforts battling the Crosho Fire protected our constituents and neighbors in Phippsburg, Yampa, and across Western Routt County. We owe them — and all first responders — a debt of gratitude.
Colorado knows all too well the devastation of wildfire. Each year, the threat grows. That’s why I’ll continue fighting for better pay for our wildland firefighters, more resources for the Forest Service, and additional aerial assets — including more C-130J planes at Peterson Space Force Base, which proved pivotal in the early days of the Crosho Fire.
As these fires continue, please follow your local emergency management groups for the latest updates and safety guidance.

- 🎒I was honored to join the community at Impact on Education’s annual event in Boulder. As the Trump administration continues their attacks on public education, we must chart a path forward that protects and supports Colorado’s students.

- 🚨Team Neguse Event Recap! Our staff was out and about in the community this week, joining the YWCA Better Because of Her Luncheon to celebrate women and allies in our community, as well as the Timberline Fire Protection District Station No.3 Groundbreaking — a critical project we helped secure federal funding for, which will help ensure faster response times and support Timberline Fire in keeping Gilpin and Boulder Counties safe.

Should you need any assistance from our office, please do not hesitate to reach out. Please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay hopeful!
Sincerely,
