Dear Neighbor,

Like many of you, I have long believed that the best way to get things done is by working with folks of all political stripes to find common ground, forge consensus, and identify ways to make progress. More than ever, we must foster greater collaboration and dialogue with those who sometimes we may not always agree — which is precisely why I was honored to be named as the country’s No. 18 most bipartisan Member of the House of Representatives, and the No. 1 most bipartisan member of Colorado’s congressional delegation. The work our office does on behalf of the people of Colorado’s 2nd District, spans across 12 counties and is driven by our desire to deliver the best solutions for our communities—and that requires extending the hand of partnership whenever possible. With many challenges impacting our families across our state, we will continue to do what we’ve always done and remain committed to tackling the issues of real importance.

As we approach Memorial Day, let us remember and honor the brave Americans who gave everything to defend our great nation. The courageous men and women who lost their lives to protect our freedoms and defend our country.

We must continue to ensure the support our veterans, service members, and their families deserve. Last year, I was proud to have President Biden sign my bill, Mental Health for Military Families Act, into law. This law works to expand access to critical mental health services for Colorado's military families.

Our office will keep working to make sure that our Colorado veterans and the families of our fallen service members are heard in Congress.

This week, I led a letter with Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper to USPS officials in Denver and Washington to request that P.O. box fees for eligible residents of Steamboat Springs be eliminated. Since the USPS does not offer home mail delivery to many households in Steamboat, they must stop charging unfair P.O. box rental fees.
