Dear Neighbor, Over the past few weeks, I’ve been focused on engaging with constituents across Colorado’s 2nd District, as we work to turn down the temperature in our politics – bringing together community members of every background and political persuasion to work together for the common good of our country. In Colorado, we know that beyond our differences and our disagreements, we as a community must, above all else, remain committed to working with each other to solve problems and care for our fellow citizens and neighbors. Please know, I am dedicated to doing precisely that, and to working with you to shape a future our communities can not only believe in – but one that we can be proud of. Dear Neighbor,

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been focused on engaging with constituents across Colorado’s 2nd District, as we work to turn down the temperature in our politics – bringing together community members of every background and political persuasion to work together for the common good of our country.

MY LATEST IN COLORADO

Over the past few weeks, our office has enjoyed hosting multiple town halls where I’ve gathered with constituents to hear about the pressing issues in their lives. I also had the chance to visit with folks at the Boulder Farmers Market – it's always great to hear your suggestions and insightful ideas on how we can continue to build a better future for our towns! Team Neguse was delighted to have a booth at the market, offering to provide assistance to families with any federal agency-related casework. When you see us out and about, make sure to stop by and say hi!

When you see us out and about, make sure to stop by and say hi! And should you need any assistance from our office, please do not hesitate to reach out.

ICYMI! OUR BILL PASSED THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

In Colorado, we know how important it is to preserve, protect, and strengthen our critical water resources in the midst of drought conditions. So far, water data monitoring has helped us with this effort through federal support — it's critical this continues to be supported and authorized.

I was proud to have my bipartisan bill, the WATER Data Improvement Act, unanimously pass the U.S. House of Representatives! I look forward to getting it across the finish line with the help of my bipartisan colleagues in the U.S. Senate. Watch my remarks on the House Floor HERE or below.

DISTRICT TEAM UPDATE

Team Neguse was excited to take part in the annual Colorado Bike to Work Day to share more about the constituent services our office provides! Our office continues to champion efforts that bolster safety for commuters and improve bike trails across our communities.

WHAT ELSE HAVE WE BEEN WORKING ON?

  • I was proud to announce that our federal wildland firefighters and Forest Service employees will be eligible for a temporary housing refund. The refunds will cover up to half the rent for eligible Forest Service employees living in government-owned housing. You can learn more about eligibility HERE.

  • I was honored to join Governor Polis and Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper in announcing a $40.5 million award for quantum research made possible by the CHIPS and Science Act. Our district has some of the nation's top scientific labs and federal research facilities — and now, it is also a premier Tech Hub for quantum computing. Learn more HERE.

Please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay hopeful!

Sincerely,

Joe Neguse Signature
